  1. StuffIt Lite™ 3.0 -> 3.0.1 Updater

  4. This package includes everything necessary to update StuffIt Lite 3.0 to version 3.0.1.  Version 3.0.1 fixes several bugs.  Please follow the upgrade instructions below.

  6. Upgrading StuffIt Lite 3.0 to version 3.0.1

  9. This upgrade is usable only by people who already have StuffIt Lite 3.0.  If you have an earlier version of StuffIt, you can either download StuffIt Lite 3.0.1 from any major bulletin board service, or contact Aladdin Systems for information on how to receive StuffIt Lite 3.0.1.

  11. Begin the upgrade process by launching the "StuffIt Lite™ 3.0->3.0.1 Update" application included in this package.  The updater will prompt you to locate your copy of StuffIt Lite 3.0.  Locate StuffIt Lite 3.0, and click the "Update" button to proceed.

  13. You will now be asked to designate a location for the updated version of StuffIt Lite.  Select whatever destination you like, and click the "Save" button.

  15. The update process may take several minutes.

  17. If your copy of StuffIt Lite 3.0 was personalized, the updater will preserve your personalization information.  It will not be necessary to repersonalize your updated version.

Next, open up your "System Folder".  Locate the folder called "Extensions", and open that folder up.  Locate and open the folder called "Aladdin".  Move the file called "Compact Pro Translator", included in this update package, into the "Translators" folder inside of the "Aladdin" folder.  If you are asked if you want to replace an older version of this file, click "Ok".

  21. If you use Userland Frontier, you can update your StuffIt verb table by double clicking on the StuffIt.Frontier file included in this package.  If you do not use UserLand Frontier, you can throw this file away.

  23. Once you have followed these instructions, you can throw away your copy of StuffIt Lite version 3.0, and begin using your newly updated 3.0.1 version.  Happy Stuffing!

  28. • Fixed some bugs in Apple event handling
  29. • Now supports resolving aliases to all subsidiary files and folders (Extensions Folder, Aladdin Folder, Preferences Folder, Translators Folder, etc.)
  30. • Fixed a problem with dragging items into folders when an archive is sorted by a criteria other than build order (e.g. name, date, size, etc.)
  31. • Fixed a cosmetic bug that could cause the progress dialog to flash during a translation
  32. • Fixed a couple of bugs in Frontier Install file.
  33. • Fixed a couple of minor bugs in the Compact Pro™ translator.
  34. • Misc. cosmetic fixes.
